Close-up of memorial stone from No.2885. 'This memorial is dedicated to the memory of all those from the Ligoniel area who lost their lives as a result of the conflict in our country. Mary Queen of the Gael, pray for them. This plaque is dedicated to the memory of Óglaich Declan McCluskey, Óglaich Ná hÉireann. I love my God overall", he said "And then I loved my land. Oh mother dear I was true, to God, to Ireland and to you'. Crossed flags of the Irish tricolour and the Fianna Eireann sunburst flag and a harp. Go ndéanpar cuimhne orthú go deo. Carry on, no matter what odds are against you, no matter what the enemy call you, no matter what torments are inflicted on you, the road to freedom is paved with suffering, hardships and torture, carry on, my gallant comrades until that certain day. Tom Williams. We also remember the civilians who were murdered by British Crown Forces, Loyalist Extremists and enemies of Ireland'. Lower plaque 'Sheas said chéile' showing a female republican firing a rifle, a republican prisoner, a woman banging a bin lid and women demonstrating. Tricolour wreaths are laid at the foot of the memorial. From Sutton, Martin Forsythe was a 19-year-old IRA man shot by undercover RUC officers during a bomb attack on the Celebrity Club, Donegall Place, Belfast in 1971. Martin Skillen was a 21-year-old IRA man who was shot from a British Army undercover observation post in Clonard cinema building, Falls Road, Belfast in 1974. Gerard Fennel was a 28-year-old IRA man shot by a sniper from concealed British Army observation post during the attempted hijacking of a van on the Stewartstown Road, Twinbrook, Belfast in 1974. Paul Best was a 19-year-old Sinn Féin member who died three months after being shot by the Official IRA while walking along Monagh Road, Turf Lodge, Belfast during an Official IRA/ IRA feud in 1976. Sean McDermott was a 20 year old IRA man shot by an off duty RUC member shortly after being involved in bomb attack on Conway Hotel, Dunmurry, near Belfast, County Antrim in 1976. Terence O'Neill was a 26-year-old IRA man shot by the RUC while running away from the Whiterock Community Centre, Ballymurphy, Belfast. John Dempsey was a 16-year-old Na Fianna Eireann member shot by a British Army sniper during an arson attack on a bus depot, Falls Road, Belfast in 1981. Sean Savage was a 24-year-old IRA man shot by undercover British Army members, while walking along Winston Churchill Avenue, Gibraltar in 1988. Kevin McCracken was a 31-year-old IRA man shot during attempted IRA sniper attack on a British Army foot patrol, Norglen Crescent, Turf Lodge, Belfast in 1988. Pearse Jordan was a 21-year-old IRA man who was shot shortly after his car was rammed by undercover RUC mobile patrol, Falls Road, Belfast in 1992.
