Description: |
Shankill Peacewall visitor's book. This is a large mural of the empty pages of an open book, which visitors stop and sign. There are signatures and messages from all over the world including: 'Just like in Berlin; simply another wall that must be pulled down', 'Can't we all just get along'', 'Give peace a chance', 'There is no love through war; no peace through fighting', 'When will the bloodshed end'' and 'Patience! Constructive discussion will prevail'. The word 'peace' has been spray-painted from the mural, and 'Fuck Peace' sprayed across the mural. Much has been written since the first photograph No.736 Album 22. |
