 'In Memory of the Volunteers from Greater New Barnsley are who gave their lives in the fight for Irish Freedom' with a list of 17 names. Two bowed republican gunmen resting on their rifles and the shields of the four provinces of Ireland flank the memorial plaque. 'Also in memory of local residents who were murdered by Crown Forces and Loyalist Extremists. 'Ireland Unfree shall never be at Peace' P.H. Pearse. Unveiled by Maggie O'Rawe, 27th June 1999'.
