A deceased baby lies on the ground in the bottom right hand corner. Queen Victoria was noted as having contributed £5 to famine relief. This mural was painted in 1995 by Rosie McGurran. |

Description: |
Close-up of the portraits of Laura Crawford and Patricia Black. Laura Crawford was a 25-year old IRA volunteer who was killed in a premature bomb explosion whilst sitting in the car in the King Street car park in Belfast on 01/12/75. Patricia Black was 18-years old when she was killed carrying a bomb along St. Peter's St in the Hertfordshire town of St. Albans in England on 15/12/91. She is buried in Milltown cemetery in West Belfast. |

Close-up of the portraits of Bridie Quinn and Mairéad Farrell. Mairéad Farrell was shot along with Dan McCann, and Sean Savage by an SAS unit in Gibraltar on 06/03/88. An IRA volunteer since the mid 1970s, she had previously been the OC of the republican women's prisoners in Armagh Jail and had been on the 1980 hunger-strike. At the time of her death, she was a student at Queen's University, Belfast studying politics. See Album 10 No.355, and Album 24 No.808 |
