"In Memory of those Killed by Car Crime". Granite memorial in tribute to the 48 people unveiled on Sunday 29th September by Margaret Muir (from Families Bereaved Through Car Crime) whose brother, Patrick Hanna, was killed after being struck by a stolen car in 1999. It reads "Mothers, fathers, sons and daughters. Aunties, uncles, sisters and brothers. Some may forget you now that you've gone, but we will remember no matter how long. The heart can feel so many things that words can never say, but we, your families, miss you and think of you each day. You are not just a memory or part of the past, but ours to love as long as life lasts. Each dawning day a thought of them, each evening a prayer. In the hearts of those who love them. They will stay forever there". |
