[On 20 April 2005 two people, Gary Davison (31) and Gillian Rose Agnew (24), pleaded guilty to manslaughter charges.] |

On Tuesday 19 September 2006 two men were sentenced for their part in the conspiracy to kill McKinley.] |

The IRA denied any involvement in his disappearance. On 11 June 2005 O'Connor's body was discovered in his car which was in Newry Canal, County Down. On 23 January 2017, The Irish News published information which claimed O'Connor had been a member of the rIRA and was acting as a security force agent (The Irish News, pages 1, 12, 13) when he was killed by 'several former associates'.] |

O'Hare was pulled from his burning flat at Dufferin Avenue in Bangor, County Down. Firefighters found him inside and brought him to an ambulance. However, he was pronounced dead a short time later. [The Police Service of Northern Ireland (PSNI) made no mention of paramilitary involvment at the time of this incident. This death was listed as paramilitary related by the Independent Monitoring Commission (IMC) in its First Report published on 20 April 2004. However, in its Third Report published on 4 November 2004 the IMC stated that the death should not be attributed to a paramilitary group.] |

The IRA initially denied responsibility for the killing however on 25 February 2005 it announced that it had expelled three of its members.] |

Left in a coma following the attack and died from his injuries on 18 March 2005. [On 18 May 2005 the Police Service for Northern Ireland (PSNI) stated that Mr Nelson was killed by a gang of Ulster Defence Association (UDA) men. There was speculation that the motive for the killing was that Nelson attempted to stop the UDA from selling drugs at the disco. The police described the attack as "brutal and horrendous".] |

However, no codename was given and his family dismissed the claim of responsibility.]

[It has been claimed by Rafferty’s family that he had been involved in a dispute with a family from south Dublin and was threatened on a number of occasions that he would be killed by the IRA. The person suspected of the killing is alleged to have been a former member of the IRA and is alleged to be a member of Sinn Féin.]

Stabbed five times in the back as he walked home with two friends (one of whom was also stabbed but survived) along Somerton Road in north Belfast. [Police initially described the attack as "random" and said they had not established a motive. There was a lot of speculation, reported in the media, that the motive for the killing was sectarian. On 12 May 2010 Gary Taylor and Nigel Brown, from the Mount Vernon estate in north Belfast, were sentenced to prison for the killing. They were described in court as having: "... deeply ingrained, bitter sectarian attitudes towards Catholics".]

[Stories in the media alleged that he had been ordered to leave Carrickfergus in 2005 following a dispute with loyalist paramilitaries. His family blamed the Ulster Defence Association (UDA) for the fatal attack.]

[The PSNI stated that a post-mortem examination had showed that Ismay had died as a "direct result of the injuries" he received in the explosion (see: BBC). On 27 November 2020, a man was sentenced to a minimum of 22 years for his part in the killing (see: BBC).] |
