Bibliographical Databases

  • The CAIN Bibliography, a bibliographic database containing over 6,700 references to material relevant to the Northern Ireland Conflict. This bibliography was originally compiled by Fionnuala McKenna (formerly a Development Officer with the CAIN Project) with additional entries by Martin Melaugh and Brendan Lynn. Many of the citations contain links to extracts, or full text, from the relevant items at the CAIN site. (Last update February 2005.)

  • The Social Science Bibliography of Northern Ireland. A bibliography of 5,000 references covering the period 1945 to 1983, jointly created by academics at The Queen's University of Belfast and the University of Ulster.

      Television Programmes

      • The Film and Sound Resource Unit's (FSRU) searchable database of television programmes relating to the conflict and politics, 1968 to 1996. The information contained in the database was supplied by the Film and Sound Resource Unit of the Faculty of Art, Design and Humanities, University of Ulster. The database contains details on 695 programmes, or news items, or current affairs items, about 'the Troubles'.
