It was a powerful experience as it was the culmination of the outreach programme with vulnerable, targeted participants who attended the Red Cross and who have enjoyed the potential of arpillera language. This arpillera work is continuing and has been embraced by the Red Cross facilitators. (A report on the event is available in the documents section below – Unveiling of arpilleras, June 2016, Gipuzkoa).
The two arpilleras will be displayed until the end of the year, afterwards moving to become part of the exhibition “The Artivist Sailing” which will take place at the Gernika Peace Museum.
Both arpilleras “Arpillera Familia del Mundo / Arpillera Family of the World” and “Arpillera Sin Título / Arpillera without a Title” together with their accompanying narratives are included in the documents section below:
(Outcome: Arpillera Familia del Mundo) and (Outcome: Arpillera Sin Título)
