Football Supporters

Soccer teams historically identified with Ulster loyalism and with the British nationalist right provide a focus for the display of loyalist and unionist political allegiances. While the bulk of supporters' clubs' websites avoid any political references a number of soccer-related websites are political to varying degrees. While some provide paramilitary-related content others provide links to directly political websites. These sites have a particularly high attrition rate and six of the seven sites listed below were defunct by March 2005.
