Exhibition and associated activities: | Ulster University Library, Belfast - Nonviolence In Action |
Description: | This rotating exhibition is a collaboration between Conflict Textiles Trust and several entities within Ulster University: INCORE, TJI and the John Hume & Thomas P. O'Neill Chair in Peace. It builds on previous collaborations across Ulster University, particularly the rotating exhibition Conflict Textiles collection: Library, Derry ~ Londonderry campus launched in 2020 and Conflict Textiles / Ulster University, Coleraine Campus in 2024.
Comprised of four arpilleras themed on nonviolent action transnationally.
An outreach hands-on workshop will take place on the 19th January 2025 with invited participants.
The exhibition will be launched at 4.30pm on 3rd March to coincide with the symposium Testimonies of Resistance.
This exhibition builds on the nonviolent resistance and empowerement via nonviolence activity held in the Ulster Museum on the 28th November 2024.
This exhibition is a satellite of the Conflict Textiles retrospective exhibition Threads of Empowerment: Conflict Textiles’ International Journey at the Ulster Museum, Belfast (June 2024 - April 2025). For more information please visit our Summary page.
