| Exhibition and associated activities: | 16 Days of Activism against Gender-Based Violence and Beyond |
| Description: | From 25 November to 10 December 2026, the UN WOMEN marks 16 Days of Activism against Gender-Based Violence under the theme: “UNiTE to End Violence Against Women and Girls: Ensure justice, protect survivors, end impunity.”
Violence against women and girls affects one in three women. It is one of the most pervasive human rights violations worldwide, yet for many survivors, justice remains out of reach.
It is in this context that we have prepared this exhibition of arpilleras, books and a few objects inviting library visitors to stop by, engage and spread the word.
We also invite lecturers to use this exhibition to engage their students and connect it to the subjects they teach, research or practice on.
17th November, we will launch the exhibition with the attendance of Siobhán Bereen, FHEA, Lecturer MSc Art Psychotherapy, Ulster University, Belfast School of Arts and her 12 students.
