TNA Records on CAIN

This section contains a small selection (currently 26 files) of digital versions of British government records that are held by The National Archives (TNA) at Kew. The records were selected by CAIN from ones which were publicly released, on an adhoc basis, by TNA. The records relate to the conflict and politics in Northern Ireland.

Since 2010 CAIN has worked with the Public Record Office for Northern Ireland (PRONI) and the National Archives Ireland (NAI) to make public records available via the CAIN website. It did not prove possible to work with TNA on the same basis. So the records in this section do not cover a sequence of years from the start of the conflict. Users will have to consult the TNA catalogues to see a comprehensive list of such files.
