TNA Records on CAIN

This section contains a small selection (currently 120 files) of digital versions of British government records that are held by The National Archives (TNA) at Kew. The records were selected by CAIN from ones which were publicly released, on an adhoc basis, by TNA. The records relate to the conflict and politics in Northern Ireland.

Since 2010 CAIN has worked with the Public Record Office for Northern Ireland (PRONI) and the National Archives Ireland (NAI) to make public records available via the CAIN website. In 2025 CAIN carried out a pilot project, with the permission of TNA, and selected 120 files from the years 1965 to 1969.
