Caption: Scene of the shooting dead of Daniel Hegarty (15) by British soldiers on the morning of Operation Motorman, 31 July 1972. Another boy, Daniel's cousin, was shot in the head and seriously injured in the same incident. Creggan Heights, Creggan, Derry. [This negative suffered damage due to light leaking into the camera.]
