Derry: 'Operation Motorman'

Photographs from a roll of film taken during the British Army's 'Operation Motorman', on Monday 31 July 1972. The photographs are in sequence but a strip is missing (negatives 25-31). The film suffered damage due to light leaking into the camera.

Caption: Women and children at the scene of the shooting dead of Daniel Hegarty (15) by British soldiers on the morning of Operation Motorman, 31 July 1972. Another boy, Daniel's cousin, was shot in the head and seriously injured in the same incident. Creggan Heights, Creggan, Derry. [This negative suffered damage due to light leaking into the camera.]
