We have stretched our constituency to breaking point. This party had the courage to go the extra mile for the sake of all our people. The Republican Movement said "government then guns". We gave them the chance to prove their intentions. They have repudiated that opportunity. They have thrown that opportunity back in the faces of all the people in Northern Ireland, their own supporters included. What is now clear is that Republicans are only paying lip-service to the Agreement. A peace process without decommissioning isn't worth a penny candle. It is not the Agreement 72% of people in Northern Ireland voted for. The Ulster Unionist Party Assembly team is unanimously of the view that the threat that is now posed to the new Stormont institutions is entirely the fault of Sinn Féin and the IRA."
