Description:

This box was made by VB after World War II while in Bari Transit camp. There he worked long hours on mindless tasks, however, each week he had one day to work on carpentry. This day helped him, psychologically, through this difficult experience and also equipped him with practical skills he was able to use after the war.

The box now belongs Vinko’s daughter Roberta Bacic, who 80 years later continues to use it to store cherished family mementos.
