| Description: | This quilt was created by a group of women from Newbuildings, who worked as a team and acquired new skills, culminating in the completion of this quilt. Here they have depicted influences which have had an impact on village life from its formative years to present day. It also represents hopes for the future of this rural community. This piece of work shows historical, educational, religious, agricultural, and community relations in the Newbuildings catchment area. It related to the past history of the village, the village as it currently is and its future aspirations.
