The exhibition is complemented by two events:
Seminar: "From the signing of the Good Friday Agreement to a possible Truth Commission for Northern Ireland," 21st February 2012, 12.00 - 2.00pm, Tower Museum, chaired by Professor Brice Dickson.

Workshop: "How to make a Memory Piece of an Event or Person", by Irene MacWilliam; Saturday 25th February 2012; 10.00 am - 4.00 pm; Education Room, Tower Museuem.
Commissioned by: Derry City Council, Heritage & Museum Service with local partner
Date(s): 16th February 2012 - 24th March 2012
Venue: Tower Museum, Derry / Londonderry, Northern Ireland
Union Hall Place, Derry / Londonderry, Northern Ireland. BT48 6LU
Curator: Roberta Bacic
Facilitator: Bernadette Walshe, Archivist Derry City Council Museum and Visitor Service
Outcome: This exhibition profiled these unusual quilts by Irene MacWilliam and prompted discussion on how stories and events are recorded. Positioning them alongside Chilean arpilleras allowed participants to experience two very different techniques and traditions, both of which give voice to people and events that may otherwise be lost.
