James Connolly Mural

Republicans have been able to draw on a wider range of themes for their murals than loyalists. For example, historical references are frequent. One historical mural, painted in Berwick Road, North Belfast in the spring of 1998, depicts James Connolly, the socialist leader and one of the seven signatories of the Proclamation of the Irish Republic at Easter 1916.

Location and Date: Berwick Road, Belfast, 1998
