Film screening and associated events:Holocaust Memorial Day Event "Through the Eye of the Needle"
Description: A short documentary film “Through the Eye of the Needle”, The Art of Esther Nisenthal Krinits, is the focus of this years' Holocaust Memorial Day Event, hosted by Derry City Council's Heritage & Museum Service in the Tower Museum.
The film features interviews with a Holocaust survivor Esther Nisenthal Krinitz and outlines how she chose to tell the story of her survival through a series of fabric art pieces. The film, by Nina Shapiro-Perl is produced by Art and Remembrance, a non profit education organisation. At the conclusion of the film a short question and answer session will be chaired by Textile Art Curator,
Roberta Bacic.
