Officials integrity vindicated Secretary of State, Shaun Woodward MP has welcomed the publication of the Review into aspects of the appointment of Bertha McDougall as Interim Victims Commissioner. The Review by Peter Scott QC was ordered by the Attorney General to determine whether or not there had been any attempt to deliberately mislead or obstruct the Court which was hearing a judicial review into the appointment of Mrs McDougall. Mr Woodward said: "I am pleased that Mr Scott has concluded that there was no intention on the part of individuals to mislead or obstruct the Court. The integrity of all the officials concerned has been vindicated. In terms of the recommendations in the Report, we will be studying them very carefully"
