NORTHERN IRELAND ESTIMATES
The Estimates detail the spending plans of the six Northern
Ireland Departments and associated bodies as voted by
Parliament. Detailed spending plans for the current financial
year are set out for each Departmental service together with the
total corresponding provision for the previous year and actual
outturn for the year prior to that. The publication also
includes introductory sections on the relationship between the
estimates and public expenditure plans and outlines the
Parliamentary process through which Parliament approves the
supply of money to fund spending by the Northern Ireland
Departments. Supplementary estimates are principally for further
expenditure on particular services and are normally published in
the Spring and Autumn.
