NORTHERN IRELAND EXPENDITURE PLANS AND PRIORITIES

This is one of a series of Departmental reports on the Government's expenditure plans produced for the UK. The Northern Ireland Departmental Report outlines the public expenditure planning system in Northern Ireland and describes the Government's current aims, objectives and priorities for spending. The key challenges facing the Northern Ireland Departments and the Northern Ireland Office in the immediate future are summarised. Expenditure figures for the Northern Ireland Departments and the NIO are presented as nine year runs (actual expenditure for the previous five years, estimated outturn for the current year and spending plans for the forthcoming three years). The report also includes departmental activity and performance indicators and information on the cost of administering the NIO and Northern Ireland Departments.
