Membership of the Justice Committee 2007-2011

Each of the Statutory Departmental Committees is made up of 11 Assembly members to "advise and assist" the Ministers. The Committees provide a system of checks and balances and allow Assembly members to question Ministers on policy matters. The two most senior figures on each Committee are the chair and deputy chair.

Changes Relating to the Justice Committee 2007-2011
¹ Mr Conall McDevitt replaced Mrs Dolores Kelly as a member of the Committee from 24 May 2010.
² Mr Jeffrey Donaldson resigned as an MLA and from the Committee from 11th June 2010. Mr Paul Givan replaced Mr Jeffrey Donaldson as a member of the Committee from 28 June 2010.
Mr Alastair Ross resigned as a member of the Committee from 25 June 2010.
Mr Jonathan Bell as a member of the Committee from 25 June 2010.
³ Lord Browne was appointed as a member of the Committee from 13 September 2010.
