Details of the Quilts

The exhibition of Arpilleras (Chilean quilts) took place in the Harbour Museum, Derry, from 8 February 2008 to 19 April 2008. The exhibition of Irish quilts and international quilts was held at eight additional venues across Derry from 8 March 2008 until 19 April 2008. There were also two launch events.

The combined exhibition of Irish and international quilts and Chilean arpilleras was the result of a collaboration between Derry City Council Heritage and Museum Services and The Junction with guest cruator Roberta Bacic.

A total of 26 Irish quilts, 17 Chilean arpilleras and 24 international quilts were displayed at the nine venues in Derry.
