| Description: | During the period August 1969 to July 1972 adult males built and maintained large barricades in the Bogside and Creggan. Following 'Operation Motorman' when the British Army removed the barriers, children and teenagers continued to construct flimsy barricades in an attempt to impede army vehicles. This photograph shows three very young children dragging an old bed to add to the barricade. |
