The street is decorated with 'Union Jack' flags, bunting, and the flag of the Apprentice Boys of Derry - one of the main Loyal Orders in Northern Ireland. The major parade each year takes place on the Saturaday closest to the 12 August. The parade is a commemoration of the lifting of the Siege of Derry on Sunday 28 July 1689. |
