| Description: | British Army (BA) vehicles parked outside the central public library in Brooke Park. When British soldiers were deployed in Derry, and elsewhere in Northern Ireland, they requisitioned a number of public and private buildings to station equipment and troops. One of the buildings requisitioned was the public library. The building was subsequently destroyed in an Irish Republican Army (IRA) attack in 197?. |
