The CAIN material on Education is currently being developed.

In the meantime the following pages provide some brief background information on the Northern Ireland education system, including an outline history and results from a few educational surveys.

The information contained in this section is derived from the CALM (Conflict: Accumulated Literature in Multimedia) demonstration system, which were developed by: Professor Sally McClean, School of Information and Software Engineering, University of Ulster; Professor Seamus Dunn, Director of the University of Ulster's Centre for the Study of Conflict; and Professor David Bustard, School of Information and Software Engineering, University of Ulster. CALM was developed from an experimental hyper-media demonstration module which was designed to show the potential for making research material available in an integrated manner. The CAIN Project is grateful for the use of the information from the CALM package.
