Comments: |
The placenames on the mural are references to sites of battles during the First World War. The mural and memorial stone make no explicit reference to the Northern Ireland conflict but it is probable that the memorial is intended to include UVF members killed during the conflict.
The memorial is opposite the Mount Vernon Gardens First World War Memorial Garden which was built with the assistance of money from the Office of the Taoiseach. |
